(\u015eekiller 1a, b) B\u00fcy\u00fck penisi ile dikkat \u00e7eken Tanr\u0131 Priapus, erkeklik, cinsellik, g\u00fc\u00e7, \u00fcreme ve do\u011furganl\u0131\u011f\u0131n tanr\u0131s\u0131 olarak kabul edilmi\u015ftir. Priapus k\u00fclt\u00fc, antik Yunan ve Roma d\u00f6neminde, insanlar\u0131n tanr\u0131dan cinsel ve fiziksel g\u00fc\u00e7, iktidar, maddi bolluk ve bereket beklentileri ile yay\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Roma d\u00f6neminde insanlar boyunlar\u0131na tanr\u0131 Priapos\u2019un erkeklik organ\u0131n\u0131 ifade eden minyat\u00fcr fallus (fascinum) objelerini k\u00f6t\u00fc \u015fansa, k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fc\u011fe ve k\u00f6t\u00fc g\u00f6zlere kar\u015f\u0131 koruyucu t\u0131ls\u0131m olarak takm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>(\u015eekil 1c) Priapizm tarihte ilk olarak M\u00d6 1550&#8217;lerde Antik M\u0131s\u0131r&#8217;da yaz\u0131lm\u0131\u015f Ebers papir\u00fcs\u00fcnde belirtilmi\u015ftir. Antik Yunan d\u00f6neminde ise Priapizm&#8217;in ilk tarifi yakla\u015f\u0131k M.\u00d6.300&#8217;lerde Apameal\u0131 Demetrius taraf\u0131ndan yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u00c7ok tanr\u0131l\u0131 Yunan mitolojisinde Priapos&#8217;un d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda Dionysus, Pan ve Hermes b\u00fcy\u00fck penisleriyle dikkat \u00e7eken tanr\u0131lar olmu\u015ftur. Ba\u015fka rakipleri olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen, Priapizm hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki penisin tanr\u0131 Priapus&#8217;un penisi ile ili\u015fkilendirilmesi ve Priapizmin ismini Priapus&#8217;tan almas\u0131 merak uyand\u0131rm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bunun ba\u015fl\u0131ca nedeni, Priapus k\u00fclt\u00fcn\u00fcn anlat\u0131m\u0131nda ve g\u00f6rsel sunumunda priapizmde oldu\u011fu gibi her zaman b\u00fcy\u00fck, erekte ve dik bir penisin kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131d\u0131r.
